Lay down the skin on a table with the adhesive side up. Use a cutting pad underneath the tail of skin to protect the table from the cutter. Do not remove the protective film.
Choose the right length for your splitboard and cut exactly along the line with the provided cutter.
With the adhesive side up, peel back about 2 inches of the protective foil. Place the soft wood panel underneath the tail of the skin. Place the elastic strap on the end of the skin and carefully beat the claws through the skin and into the softwood panel with a hammer.
Replace the protective foil and turn the skin over. Carefully hammer the claws flat against the skin. Claws should be hammered pointed towards the end of the skin.
Assemble the butterfly clip on the elastic strap.
Before attaching the skin to the splitboard, be sure that the base is totally clean and there are no residues of waxes, dirt, oil, etc. Please refer to the care and maintenance section at the end of the manual for more info.
Remove the protective film and attach the skin to the front of the board. Smoothly apply the skin from tip to tail. Try to leave a 4mm gap between the straight edge of your board and the straight edge of the skin.
Adjust the butterfly clip so that the elastic strap is a little stretched and fits tightly to the tail of the board.
Now cut the tapered outside edge of the skin using the blade.
Repeat steps 1-9 with the second skin on the other half of your splitboard.
Before attaching the skin to the splitboard, be sure that the base is totally clean and there are no residues of waxes, dirt, oil, etc. If you want to reapply the skin a second or third time on a tour, make sure that there is no water or snow crystals on the base. Please refer to the care and maintenance section at the end of the manual for more info.
Attach the skin to the front of the board and smoothly apply the skin from tip to tail. Try to leave a 2mm gap on each side of the skin. Do not cover the edge with the skin.
Attach the butterfly clip to the tail.
In cold conditions, warm up the adhesive skins underneath your jacket for a few miutes before attaching.
Remove the butterfly clip from the tail.
Remove the skin from tail to tip.
Apply the protective net to half of the skin and fold it over.
Place the skins into the skin storage bag
Never fold adhesive skins with the glue surfaces touching; always use the provided protective net. The use of the protective net guarantees the best possible preservation of the glue's adhesive properties, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of your skins.
